A woman identified as DiDi Janell Drexler, is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after a chaotic encounter with Mountain View law enforcement officers.
According to police reports, Drexler was advised she was under arrest for disorderly conduct but resisted officers by kicking, hitting, grabbing, and attempting to bite them. Her actions led to charges for resisting or interfering with arrest.
In addition, Drexler is charged with two counts of third-degree assault after allegedly injuring both officers during the arrest. Because the victims were law enforcement officers performing official duties, the charges are elevated to class D felonies.
Officers also noted signs of intoxication, including the smell of alcohol and visible whiskey shots, one of which had spilled. Drexler admitted to consuming four drinks throughout the day, resulting in a charge of driving while intoxicated. Her bond was set at $25,000.
