71-year-old Ricky Dean Huff of Ava was arrested after being indicted by a Douglas County Grand Jury for two counts of Statutory Sodomy/attempted deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years of age and two counts of Child Molestation with child less than 14 years of age. The incidents occurred in 2017 and were reported to authorities in April of 2024.
The case was investigated by Detective Nathan Long, the Children’s Division, and the Child Advocacy Center in Springfield Missouri. Bond was set at $100,000 cash only.
