Brenda Polyard retires from MSU-WP

West Plains, MO. – Brenda Polyard, associate vice chancellor for University/Community Programs (U/CP) at Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP), retired from her position Wednesday, Feb. 1, after more than 24 years of full-time service.

Polyard was appointed U/CP director Aug. 17, 1998, shortly after the department was formed. During her tenure, she served as MSU-WP’s deputy Title IX coordinator, Affirmative Action liaison and Equal Opportunity liaison. She also received MSU’s Staff Excellence in Community Engagement Award in 2010 and the Staff Excellence in University Service Award in 2020.

At her retirement reception Thursday, Feb. 2, which was attended by many current and former faculty, staff and community members, Polyard received a certificate noting her years of service and a piano arch mantle clock from MSU-WP Chancellor Dennis Lancaster.
