West Plains, MO – The area south of the Square in West Plains and Highway 63 experienced power outages Sunday afternoon.
The cause of the outages was a crash on Worchester Street and Cherry Street in West Plains at noon. A red Ford pickup traveling west on Worchester Street had crashed through the power pole at the intersection of Cherry Street and stopped after hitting a parked car.

The City of West Plains, the West Plains Fire Department, and the West Plains Police Department worked through the afternoon to restore power.
