Caulfield Man Fatally Injured in Afternoon Crash

Caulfield, MO. – A man from Caulfield was fatally injured yesterday during a crash that occurred on Highway 160.

Law enforcement responded to the crash yesterday 2.5 miles West of Caulfield and investigated the aftermath.

According to the report, it was concluded the time of the crash was 1:45 pm. The driver in this fatal accident was identified as Alton Curtwright, 53 of Caulfield. Curtwright was operating a Harley Davidson when he traveled off the right side of the road and struck a sign before then striking a fence and being ejected.

He was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased by Ozark County Coroner Gene Britt at 2:30 pm.

Master Sergeant C.A. Hogue of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G was the investigator of this crash. In assistance was the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office.
