Thayer, MO. – The City of Thayer has announced that their Parks Department has broken ground, officially beginning the “Sherwood Fruit Forest” project.
A plan enacted by Elly Burrell, the Parks Director, the Sherwood Fruit Forest project will create a small orchard in Sherwood Park, found at 100 Holmes Road. This orchard can then be accessed by the public to provide them with free fruit during the growing season. Fruit trees included are apple, plum, cherry, and peach.
