Area residents are invited to save lives and earn free admission to Dickerson Park Zoo by donating blood at an upcoming community blood drive. The event, hosted by Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), will be held on Thursday, August 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mountain Grove Mennonite Church – Gymnasium, 6900 Old Hwy 60.
All successful donors will receive a voucher for two free general admissions to Dickerson Park Zoo, a value of $38, along with a limited-edition zoo-themed T-shirt while supplies last. Zoo admission vouchers are valid through July 31, 2026.
CBCO is the exclusive provider of blood and blood products to over 40 healthcare facilities across the Ozarks, including Texas County Memorial Hospital and Mercy Hospital Springfield. Donors at this drive will directly support local hospitals and patients.
