Community First Banking Company with locations in West Plains, Mountain Grove and Thayer has recently announced promotions within their staff and additions to their advisory board.
Kirt Ramseur has been named an Advisory Director to the Board of Directors of Community First Banking Company. He is a native of West Plains and attended the University of Missouri in Columbia. He has managed West Plains Beverage for over 35 years and is the owner of several Dairy Queen franchises in south central Missouri. Ramseur and his wife JoDee have four children and five grandchildren.
James Davis has also been appointed as Advisory Director to the Board of Directors. He attended MSU in Springfield and has lived in West Plains since 1990 where he owns and operates West Plains Auto World for the past 25 years along with West Plains Affordable Auto Sales and the Glass Sword Cinema. Davis and his wife Leslie have three children and four grandchildren.
Daniel McKinney has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Banking Officer. McKinney joined Community First in 2012 in Deposit Operations. He later was promoted to Vice President and Commercial Lender. McKinney is a native of West Plains and graduated from West Plains High School. He has an associate’s degree in general studies from Missouri State University and graduated from the Missouri Banker’s School of Lending and Advanced School of Lending. He is a 2020 graduate of the Missouri Banker’s Bank Leadership Missouri program and a recent graduate from the Southwest Graduate School of Banking in TX.
Kelly Marsh has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations. Marsh is a native of Bakersfield and has 23 years of banking experience in Deposit Operations with Community First Banking Company. She has completed numerous bank-related courses in Operations, Management, and ACH. Marsh is very active in community events in Bakersfield including Bakersfest, the annual tree lighting, and Walk the Streets of Bakersfield car show.
MJ Stevens has been promoted to Vice President of Accounting. She has 18 years of bank experience and has been with Community First since 2011. Stevens has held a variety of positions in Deposit Operations and Accounting. She is a graduate of Bakersfield High School and holds an associate’s degree from MSU-WP. She has completed numerous bank-related courses in Operations and Accounting. Stevens lives in Bakersfield with her 3 daughters.
Jon Waggoner has been promoted to Vice President/Commercial Lender. Waggoner has 12 years of bank experience in Deposit Operations and Consumer & Commercial Lending. He is a graduate of West Plains High School and has attended Missouri State University in West Plains. He is also a graduate of the 2024 LEAD Program in West Plains. He and his wife Brooke reside in West Plains with their daughter, Ozella.
Shantel Shaw has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Operations. She is a graduate of West Plains High School and attended OTC and MSU-WP. She joined Community First as a Teller in 2016 and has worked in all areas of Deposit Operations including Customer Service Representative and Operations Specialist. In her free time, Shaw likes to hunt and spend time with family.
Jarred Wright has been promoted to Retail Sales Manager at the main bank in West Plains. Wright graduated from Penn Foster High School in 2016 and worked as a Catering Director & Shift Supervisor for Chick Fil A for 3 years before joining Community First as a Teller in 2020. He has worked as a Teller and Customer Service Representative before his recent promotion. Jarred has been married to his wife, Jarissa since 2020 and they both serve as leaders of the Children’s Ministry at Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle. He also loves hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
