Cotter/NAYC receives $50,000 grant

COTTER, Ark. — The city of Cotter, Ark. will receive $50,000 in grant funds for several city projects.

In a letter addressed to the city and provided to Ozark Radio News, Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced the funds were in response to the city’s application for a FUN Park Grant, which helps cities and counties to improve outdoor recreation opportunities.

City officials say the grant will be used to resurface the old tennis courts at the North Arkansas Youth Center and convert them to multi-use courts, including tennis, pickleball, volleyball, and soccer. Funds will also be used to construct handicap parking and a handicap ramp and sidewalk on 5th Street.
