A crash in Van Buren sent three people to the hospital Sunday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the collision happened just after 2 p.m. at U.S. 60 and Business 60, when a westbound 2018 GMC Yukon failed to yield and was struck by a southbound 2009 Toyota Camry. The impact pushed the Camry into a stop sign and guardrail before it came to rest.
A 12‑year‑old boy from Ellsinore riding in the Yukon suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View. The Camry’s driver, a 25‑year‑old woman from Springfield, and her 26‑year‑old passenger also sustained minor injuries and were transported to Poplar Bluff Regional. The Camry was totaled and towed from the scene; the Yukon was driven away.
