SQUIRES, Mo. — A Squires man faces multiple felony charges following a March 27 incident involving a reported domestic disturbance, controlled substances, and firearms, according to a probable cause statement and court records.

Responding deputies were advised that Dustin Chad Prock, 48, of Squires, had an active warrant at the time of the call. Upon arrival, officers made contact and detained Prock without incident.

During the investigation, witnesses reported that Prock had been outside a shop building on the property and had allegedly been firing a weapon prior to law enforcement’s arrival. Deputies later entered the building after observing suspicious movement and found Prock inside with shotgun shells in his hand and an empty holster on his person.

Further investigation led deputies to a vehicle on the property, where multiple firearms were located, including a shotgun, rifle, and two .22-caliber handguns, all of which were reported to be loaded.

Authorities also reported locating an unmarked prescription bottle inside the vehicle containing multiple pills and a white crystalline substance. The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Pills recovered were later identified as clonazepam, a Schedule IV controlled substance, and hydrocodone, a Schedule II controlled substance.

According to the affidavit, Prock later acknowledged ownership of the substances and admitted to possessing a .22-caliber handgun prior to law enforcement’s arrival.

Witnesses also reported that an individual involved in the incident had been pushed to the ground during the disturbance, though no charges were pursued in connection with that allegation.

Prock is charged with multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance, excluding 35 grams or less of marijuana, and unlawful use of a weapon for possessing a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance.

In a separate but related case, court records show that Joseph W. Collins was also issued a warrant on March 29 in Douglas County under case number 26DG-CR00140. The warrant was served March 29, with bond set at $1,500 cash. Conditions of bond include supervised release, twice-weekly drug testing, no use of illegal or mood-altering substances, and no driving without valid license and insurance.

All charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
