West Plains, MO. – The John T. Kirk VFW Post 1828 in West Plains will be hosting an event this Friday commemorating the end of Desert Storm and the Gulf War.
With this conflict taking place in the early Nineties, there are still many people in the Ozarks who remember the event, or even actively participated in it.

This commemoration event will include several speakers throughout, talking about the Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm. West Plains Mayor Mike Topliff will be present to read a City Proclamation in relation to the event.
A post-ceremony lunch will also be held at Ozark Cafe, 662 Missouri Avenue, at 2pm.
