Driver in Seriously Injured after Vehicle Goes Airborne Sunday Morning

Gainesville, MO. – A Pontiac woman was seriously injured after her vehicle went airborne in a Sunday morning crash. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Highway W, six miles east of Pontiac at 8:45 a.m.

A westbound 2007 P.T Cruiser driven by Dotty Rodkey, age 65 of Pontiac, ran off the left side of the roadway and impacted a driveway, sending the vehicle airborne and across the roadway. The vehicle finally came to a stop when it hit a utility pole.

Rodkey had not been wearing her seatbelt and was seriously injured in the crash. She was taken by ambulance to Baxter Health in Mountain Home for treatment.
