Drought conditions across the Ozarks has worsened, according to the National Weather Service.
A D3, or extreme drought is now in effect for Ozark and Douglas Counties, touching right up to the border of Howell county, with D2 severe drought conditions still present through much of the listening area.
As these conditions persist, fire harzard risks will stay high over the fall season, and long-term hydrologic and agricultural impacts may be present.
