A 78-year-old Elk Creek man was injured Sunday night when he had an accident on MO 137, 13 miles south of Yukon.
The accident occurred when he attempted to avoid a deer ran off the roadway, struck a fence and a tree in a 2007 Dodge Dakota.

He was transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital for treatment of Moderate injuries.
