Ellington, Mo. – An elderly man lost his life in a one-vehicle accident near Centerville Wednesday night. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, the accident occurred at 7:08 p.m. on Highway 21, one mile north of Centerville.
A northbound 2009 GMC Sierra driven by 83-year-old William Buckner of Ellington ran off the right side of the road, striking a house and a tree. Buckner was pronounced dead at the scene by medical technicians. He had not been wearing a safety device.
This is the 31st roadway fatality for MSHP Troop G in 2021, compared with 35 for the same time in 2020.
