Friday Severe Weather Causes Mtn. View Damage & Missing Toddler Incident

Across the listening area, the impact of today’s severe weather can be felt. Multiple incidents have happened as a result of the weather, including a missing child and roof damage to a building in Mountain View.

According to a Facebook post from the Bakersfield Volunteer Fire Department, there is a current search & rescue operation happening near County Road 555B and Smokey Road in Ozark County. They are asking for volunteers to help search around Tecumseh, and for people to report in to law enforcement for assistance. In a previous post, they also stated Smokey Road is currently impassable due to flooding at this time.

Meanwhile, in Mountain View in Howell County, high winds left a trail of destruction throughout the town, with sections of the roof of the old shoe factory being torn off, several downed trees, and even downed power lines.
