West Plains, MO – Chocolate enthusiasts are in for a treat as Christos House brings back its highly anticipated Chocolate Festival, scheduled for tomorrow, May 10, from noon to 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, located at 503 West Main Street in West Plains. This annual event not only promises a wide variety of delicious chocolate creations but also serves as an important fundraiser for Christos House, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a wide array of chocolate delicacies prepared by both professional and amateur chocolatiers. Some of the featured chocolate treats available for tasting and bidding in the live auction include Cosmic Brownie Cookies, Chocolate Poke Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting, Grandma Mae’s Chocolate Pie, Strawberry Cream Chocolate Cake, and Kayla’s Oreo Truffles, among many others.
The festival will feature a tasting competition, where chocolate creators will showcase their best recipes, and winners will be recognized during the event. Alongside the tasting experience, a silent auction will be held throughout the festival, with a live auction beginning at 1 p.m. Attendees can bid on full versions of the delicious chocolate treats, giving them a chance to take home their favorites.
Admission to the festival is $10 per person, which includes 15 tasting tickets that can be redeemed for chocolate samples of the attendee’s choice. Children aged 10 and under can attend for free with adult supervision. Additional tasting tickets will also be available for purchase during the event—$1 for one ticket or $5 for six tickets.
Proceeds from the Chocolate Festival will directly benefit Christos House, which provides essential support and services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence in the region. Attendees can indulge in their love of chocolate while making a meaningful contribution to a critical cause.
