West Plains, MO. – A fundraiser and awareness event will be taking place this weekend, March 29th to help honor the deputies who were shot and killed last month in Christian County.
This event is in the form of of a ride, setting off from the West Plains Civic Center at 10am. Riders and drivers will then head to Ozark for a further event for the families of two fallen Deputies, Gabriel Ramirez and Michael Hislope. The pair were shot and killed as a result of a traffic stop turned manhunt February 23rd and 24th, where suspect Richard Bird was later apprehended.
The cost of participation is $20 for a rider, and $5 for each passenger, and while motorcycles will be common, any vehicle is welcome to join. Law enforcement escort will also be present as a show of support.
