The Harlin Museum opened its doors in style for this year’s gala night, showcasing a selection of works from its permanent collection. These pieces represent years of support from the Art Guild and various community organizations, who have purchased artwork from past exhibitions and generously donated them to the museum.
This month’s exhibit highlights two noteworthy additions. One is a newly acquired oil painting by Lee Copen, purchased and donated by Gladys Morris. The second is an oil painting by James Burkhart, a piece that has been part of the museum’s collection but remained in storage until now. Recently reframed, it is making its debut on the gallery walls.
Guests at the reception had the opportunity to take in these featured works alongside a variety of pieces by local artists. The evening offered a relaxed atmosphere, with light refreshments, friendly conversation, and plenty of time to appreciate the creativity on display.
The exhibit will remain open through the end of May. Regular museum hours are Thursday through Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m.
