Hartville, Mo. – A Hartville woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred on St. George Road, 12 miles north of Hartville at 5:20 p.m.
A southbound 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Kassandra Smith, 19 of Hartville, had went off the left side of the roadway, striking an embankment and a tree. Smith was seriously injured in the crash and was air lifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. She had not been wearing a safety device.
