Howell Co. reports 21 additional COVID-19 cases

The Howell County Health Department is reporting an additional 21 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 641.

Currently, there are 134 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 134, eight are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases; 16 reside in West Plains, two live in Mountain View, two live in Moody and one lives in Pomona.

Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. Ten of the new cases are considered community spread, where the source of the infection is unknown, and 11 cases that have been linked to known cases.
