Howell Co. reports two more cases of COVID-19

62 year-to-date cases, 15 active cases

The Howell County Health Department reports that 2 additional cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county, bringing the year to date total to 63.  The current number of known active cases in Howell County stands at 15 cases.

Case #62 lives in West Plains.  Contacts to the case have been notified and are on quarantine.  The case is isolating at home. The investigation indicates the case has been potentially linked to a previously identified case.  Potential exposures to the community include:

Wednesday, July 8Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle on West Main in WP – Wednesday evening service 

Thursday, July 9VFW meeting at American Legion Hall

Saturday, July 11Howell County Rural Fire Department BBQ  (Fire Chief notified)

Case #63 lives in West Plains.  Contacts have been notified and are quarantining.  Case is isolating at home.  The case is believed to be community spread.  Significant exposure are being notified.  There was been one potential exposures to the community identified.

Thursday, July 9 — Ostermeier Brewing Company in WP, 6:30 to 7:30 pm 

Individuals visiting any of these locations during the date and times identified are at LOW risk for contracting the COVID-19, but should monitor themselves for symptoms. Anyone who develops symptoms of COVID-19 should contact their health care provider regarding testing and take all necessary precautions to avoid exposing others.
