West Plains, MO. – The Howell County Sheriff’s Department has issued a call to action from the public on what appears to be a repeat incident in the Junction Hill area.
According to the announcement, between March 1st to March 14th, several dozen tires were found dumped and discarded along the sides of the roads of North Highway 17, East US 160, and State Route W.
The volume of the tires dumped along the sides of the road has warranted MoDOT crews to clean up the mess, and an investigation from Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol to locate the source.
The Howell County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance. Those with information are asked to call the Highway Patrol at (417) 469-3121 or the Sheriff’s Office at (417) 256-2544.
