Sho-Me Power, our wholesale provider of energy, has scheduled substation system improvements next week for the West Plains and Alton subs. Wednesday, October 1, West Plains substation will be down from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. and Thursday, October 2, Alton substation will be down from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.
Members impacted by this overnight outage will receive notification through the SmartHub app if they are signed up or a phone call/message if the number we have on file is correct. This will affect more than 2,000 members per substation.
The work is scheduled at the time of night to have the least impact on most of our members. Improvements like this allows Sho-Me Power and Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperatives to continue to provide members with reliable electrical service. Thank you for your patience.
