A Isabella woman suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon after her vehicle overturned on US 160, five miles south of West Plains, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the driver from Isabella was heading east when her 2014 Buick Encore failed to negotiate a left‑hand curve, ran off the right side of the road, struck an embankment, became airborne, hit the ground, and overturned. The vehicle was totaled.
She was airlifted to Cox South. A 6‑year‑old male passenger sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Howell County EMS to Ozarks Healthcare.
The driver is facing charges of Felony DWI with physical injury, Felony child endangerment, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility, and failure to secure a child in a booster seat or seatbelt.
