Willow Springs, MO – On Sunday, May 12, 2024, a juvenile was seriously injured in an ATV crash on private property, 0.5 miles south of Willow Springs.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred when a 9-year-old male juvenile, driving the ATV, attempted to make a left-hand turn and flipped the vehicle. Both the 9-year-old male driver and the occupant, a 13-year-old male, were ejected when the ATV overturned. The 13-year-old occupant was seriously injured when the vehicle came to a stop and pinned the juvenile underneath it. He was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield via Air Evac. The ATV only received minor damage.
