According to a probable cause statement April Meeks, a Lee’s Summit woman, was clocked driving 106 mph on Highway 60 near Cabool. The Cabool officer pulled over the vehicle and could smell a faint odor of intoxicants.
Meeks consented to a breathalyzer test which registered her blood alcohol content at .157, nearly twice the amount allowed by law in Missouri. Meeks was placed under arrest and during the transport slipped out of the handcuffs.
April Meeks is being charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Excessive Speed over 26 MPH over posted speed limit and Attempted Escape for Custody.
