Licking, MO. – A man from Licking was fatally injured in an accident with a semi on the morning of Monday, February 6th.
Investigation of this incident was performed by Trooper D.E. Rogers and Sergeant S.R. Richards of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

rel="nofollow"Allen Long, 56, was the lone injured party in this accident, and was a pedestrian who was walking on Highway 32, less than a mile East of Licking. Long was struck by a Westbound 2021 Peterbilt driven by 48-year-old Dallas Southards of Salem, MO.
Allen Long was pronounced deceased at the scene by Texas County Coroner Marie Lasater at 6:26am.
This accident marks the first fatality of 2023 for the Highway Patrol Troop G region.
