Mountain Home, AR. – A man from Baxter County has been arrested after trading a vehicle he stole to a victim earlier this year.
This started around late February of this year when the trade victim in this case agreed to exchange his vehicle, a 2014 Chevy Silverado, for a 2022 Dodge Challenger from Dale Louis Groth, 29.

Groth had entered the exchange under the pretense that he was the owner, and that the Challenger was damaged with a salvaged title. After the exchange, Groth never produced any title or paperwork for the vehicle, which spurred the victim to register the vehicle on his own.
It was then discovered that the vehicle was stolen by Groth from a rental car company in Monett, who, at the time, also reported the vehicle as stolen to the rental company.
Groth was arrested on a charge of theft of property not long after the victim reported the case to the Mountain Home PD, and was released on the same day on a $20,000 bond.
