Man Charged for Fatal 2022 Baxter County Crash

Bull Shoals, AR. – A man from Bull Shoals in Marion County, AR. is facing negligent homicide charges for his role in a fatal crash that occurred in Baxter County on May 19th, 2022.

According to the summary report of the fatal crash, the time and location was 3:27pm on State Highway 5 at Timberlane Road.

The lone fatality in this crash was listed as a 60-year-old Mountain Home resident, John Wilson. Additionally injured in this accident was KC Hartman, 40 of Mountain Home.

According to the probably cause affidavit, the driver of a 2011 Chevy truck struck another Chevy while changing the music on his phone. In addition, the driver, identified as Ethan Hutchinson, 29 of Bull Shoals, AR., was found to have drugs in his system that functioned as a sedative and muscle relaxant.

Hutchinson is facing charges of Negligent Homicide, a Class B Felony, Careless and Prohibited Driving, and Use of a Wireless Phone for Interactive Communication While Driving Involving a Collision.
