Mountain Grove police responded to a dealership on Business 60 on Monday, December 8, 2025, after staff reported missing tools. The Service Manager advised that former employee Ryan Robinson, who had resigned two days earlier, was seen on surveillance footage entering areas of the shop where he did not work and removing tools.
According to the manager, Robinson was confronted and admitted he had taken the property. He later returned a backpack containing some of the stolen items. Voluntary statements from employees documented losses totaling more than $7,900, with individual amounts ranging from $5,100 to $250.
On Wednesday, December 10, officers interviewed Robinson after advising him of his Miranda rights. Robinson admitted to stealing the tools and identified additional stolen property at his new workplace in Nixa, Missouri. The items matched those reported missing by employees.
Robinson has been charged with two counts of stealing valued at $750 or more, and three counts of stealing under $750.
