Man Killed After Motorcycle Crashed Into Tree

Taney County, MO. – A man from Mexico was killed after crashing into a tree with his motorcycle.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports, the crash occurred on August 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., 1 mile south of Protem. 62-year-old Steven Scott, of San Miguel De Allende, Mexico, was traveling west on Highway 125 on a 2008 Honda GL8. Scott failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the right side of the roadway before crashing into a tree. He was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Taney County coroner. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
