MOUNTAIN VIEW, Mo. – Every year, Mercy co-workers can make donations through a giving program known as MercyWay. Since 2016, more than $6 million has been invested across all Mercy locations. While these funds can benefit internal Mercy programs, co-workers have also donated to hundreds of local organizations.
At Mercy St. Francis, many have chosen to donate to the Good Samaritan Care Clinic, which has provided much-needed medical and dental services to uninsured patients since 2004. Mercy physician, Dr. Jon Roberts, was instrumental in opening the clinic.
“MercyWay is co-worker driven,” said Cynthia Weatherford, Mercy Hospital St. Francis administrator. “Our team continuously chooses to assist the Good Samaritan Care Clinic because we see how essential it is to our community in Mountain View. We are so thankful for the work they do.”
Co-workers from all areas of the hospital donated a total of $7,000 to the clinic. Many individuals also enjoy giving the gift of time as they volunteer at the clinic.
