MHTC Approves 2024-2028 STIP for Missouri Transportation Needs

Jefferson City, MO. –  The Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission approved yesterday the 2024 to 2028 Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan, or STIP.

This is a five-year program which includes funding from General Revenue to fix low-volume roads, upgrade railroad safety crossings, fix bridges, and more. The program also includes our area of Missouri, the recent roadwork to the bridge on ZZ Highway Southeast of West Plains being a part of it.

This program is considered the largest transportation development plan ever with $14 billion worth of state and federal funds. Of the $14 billion, $10.4 billion goes towards bridge construction and maintenance projects.
