WEST PLAINS, Mo. — The West Plains Middle School 5th grade classes are in the middle of a community service project called Second Cup of Coffee.
Every Tuesday in December, the 5th grade students hand out free cups of coffee and hot chocolate to middle school parents and guardians in the student drop off line.

The project is teaching students the act of selflessness by serving others, according to school officials.
