Missing Person Reported in Howell County: Ashton Rader

West Plains, MO. – The Howell County Sheriff’s Office has posted information on a man missing from West Plains. Ashton Rader, age 27 of West Plains, has not been seen since late August 2022. 

Rader has no known alias. He stands 5′ 11”, weighs 205 pounds, has blue eyes and blond hair, and has leg and sleeve tattoos.

Conversations on Facebook began appearing recently after the mother of Rader’s children posted that he had been contacting his children by phone regularly until late August, when the calls stopped.

Rader is the third man to go missing in the West Plains area in 2022. The others include Thomas Jay Acosta who went missing on May 9, 2022 and Tommy Lee Wilson who went missing on June 11, 2022. One teen is reported missing from the West Plains area, Eli A. Mullett age 17, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Missing Person website. There is a total of 10 adults and one child missing from Howell County at this time.
