Missouri FFA to Gather for Annual Convention

More than 8,000 FFA members and guests will gather in Columbia from April 23-25, 2025, for the 97th Missouri FFA State Convention at the Hearnes Center on the University of Missouri campus. Themed “Dance with Opportunity,” this year’s event celebrates the achievements of FFA members while fostering leadership, education, and community in agriculture.

The convention will honor 1,088 students receiving the prestigious State FFA Degree, the highest honor bestowed by the Missouri FFA Association. Awards will also be presented in 45 agricultural proficiency areas, recognizing the outstanding supervised agricultural experience programs that generated over $69 million in student income.

Highlights of the convention include the naming of the State Star Farmer, State Star in Agribusiness, State Star in Placement, and State Star in Agriscience. Students will also compete in a wide range of career and leadership development events, including agricultural sales, livestock evaluation, floriculture, and public speaking.

In addition, 25 Honorary State FFA Degrees will be presented to individuals and organizations supporting agricultural education, along with 16 honorary degrees to parents of retiring state officers.
