On January 7, 2022 the MJTF, composed of Douglas County Deputies, Ozark County Deputies, Ava PD Officers and COMET drug task force Agents, served a narcotics search warrant on FF Highway just east of Ava where methamphetamine and weapons were seized.
The following subjects were arrested and booked in the Douglas County Jail:
Chace Clanton, age 21, of Ava, MO. A warrant was issued for Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony. Bond set at $1500 Cash Bond with bond conditions CPS Supervision with 2x a week drug testing. No illegal substances including marijuana. Clanton has since posted bond and is under CPS supervision with twice weekly drug testing.

Ashtin Berry, age 18, of Ava, MO. A warrant was issued for Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony. Bond set at $15,000 Cash Only with bond conditions CPS Supervision with 2x a week drug testing. No illegal drugs including marijuana. GPS monitor before release.

Kristen Mudge, age 20, of West Plains, MO. A warrant was issued for Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony. Bond set at $1500 Cash Only with bond conditions CPS Supervision (or similar in West Plains) with 2x a week drug testing. No illegal drugs including marijuana. Court Approved Residence.

Lyle Engle, age 40, of Ava, MO was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony. Bond set at No Bond. Formal Drug charges pending.

Reuben Albritton, age 19, of West Plains, MO. A warrant was issued for Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony. Bond set at $1500 Cash Only with bond conditions CPS Supervision with 2x a week drug testing. No illegal drugs including marijuana. Court Approved Residence.

All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
