Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash Thursday

Around noon on Thursday May 1st, traffic was reduced to one lane on South 63 in West Plains near Dairy Queen and Phillips 66 gas station as a 36-year-old man from St. Robert was traveling south on Highway 63 on his 2014 Harley Davidson and a northbound vehicle, a 2009 Kia Sportage driven by a 51-year-old Henderson, AR man attempted to turn into the gas station. The Kia turned directly into the path of the motorcycle resulting in a head on collision. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in the crash and was airlifter to Cox Hospital in Springfield.
