The Mountain Home Public Schools Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, July 17, at 6:00 p.m. in the Administration Building Board Room.
The meeting will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance led by School Nurse Ashley Looney, followed by public comments and approval of the agenda and previous meeting minutes.
Highlights of the evening include a presentation by Mr. Gerald Gaige from Baxter County Airport and a budget discussion for the 2025-2026 school year led by Ms. Cotter. Reports will be given on academics, finance, enrollment (currently at 3,654 students), student transfers, and facilities.
The board will consider several action items, including:
- Approval of bids for copy paper, paper/plastic supplies, and food service
- Approval of contract disclosures for 2024–2026
- Review of purchases over $20,000
- A behavioral support contract
- Facility plan submission
- Updates to Policy Section 7
The meeting will also include a Superintendent’s update, board discussion, and an executive session to address personnel matters such as employment, retirements, and transfers.
