West Plains R-VII School District is pleased to welcome Ms. Amy Marshall as the new principal of West Plains Middle School for the 2026–2027 school year.
Ms. Marshall brings 17 years of dedicated service to the West Plains R-VII School District and a deep-rooted commitment to the community she proudly calls home. A 2004 graduate of West Plains High School, she has spent her career supporting students at multiple levels while gaining a broad understanding of instructional leadership and school operations.
She began her career as a classroom teacher at South Fork Elementary School teaching fifth and sixth grade, where she developed a strong foundation in student-centered instruction. Ms. Marshall later served as assistant principal at West Plains Elementary School for two years, gaining valuable administrative experience focused on collaboration, student support, and academic growth.
Ms. Marshall holds a Master of Education Administration degree from William Woods University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Baptist University. Her educational background, combined with her extensive professional experience, has prepared her well for school leadership.
In addition to her instructional and administrative roles, Ms. Marshall has served as head softball coach and head soccer coach, as well as a fifth and sixth grade basketball coach. These experiences further strengthened her leadership skills and her ability to build positive relationships with students beyond the classroom.
“Ms. Marshall’s long-standing dedication to the West Plains School District, combined with her leadership experience and strong connection to our community, makes her an excellent choice to lead West Plains Middle School,” said Dr. Wesley Davis, superintendent of West Plains Schools. “She understands our students, our staff, and our expectations for excellence, and we are confident she will continue to move the school forward in a positive direction.”
The West Plains R-VII School District looks forward to Ms. Marshall’s leadership and the continued success of West Plains Middle School under her guidance.
