West Plains, MO – The Missouri State University–West Plains Office of Career Services hosted a Career Fair Feb. 26 that connected community members with employers from across the region.
The event featured 35 employers representing industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, education, public service, banking, agriculture, criminal justice, technology and many more.
Nearly 100 job seekers attended to explore career pathways, learn about open positions and speak directly with hiring representatives.
Employers shared information about current openings and workforce needs, while candidates used the event to ask questions, discuss qualifications, and consider potential next steps in their career journeys.
“It was encouraging to see employers and job seekers engaging in meaningful conversations throughout the career fair,” said Lindsey Waggoner, director of the Missouri State University–West Plains Office of Career Services. “Our goal was to create a welcoming space where people could explore opportunities and make connections that support their career goals. We appreciate every employer and candidate who took the time to participate.”
The event is part of the Office of Career Services’ broader initiative to help students and job seekers build professional connections and learn about available opportunities. Plans are underway to continue offering events that support employer engagement and provide spaces for job seekers to build professional connections.
