One Dead, Two Injured in Two Vehicle Crash

Houston, MO. – A two-vehicle crash near Houston has claimed the life of a Bucyrus man and injured two other individuals.

This crash happened on Highway 17, five miles north of Houston, reports the Missouri State Highway Patrol. At roughly 10:20am on Monday, June 16th, a Dodge Journey stopped in a construction zone was struck from behind by an International Box Truck driven by 41-year-old St. Louis resident, William White.

The driver of the Journey, an 80-year-old Bucyrus man, was killed in the collision. A 79-year-old Bucyrus woman was also seriously injured as a result, who was then taken to Cox South in Springfield for further treatment.

White is now facing multiple felony charges in the aftermath of the crash, including Driving While Intoxicated – Manslaughter, Driving While Intoxicated – Assault, and Assault – Special Victim.
