Salem, MO. –A man from Salem is facing five felony charges after shooting a firearm at a vehicle, according to the Salem Police Department.
This incident took place on Saturday, October 25th, during the midnight hour. Police responded to a report of a vehicle being shot and arrived at South Warfel Street to investigate. Victims stated that a man in a white hoodie had shot their vehicle, and a bullet hole was found in the back bumper consistent with their account. A 9mm bullet casing was also found in the area where the shooting was said to have taken place.
Allen Smith, born in 2001 and Salem resident, was later found to have made a call to his girlfriend, who was in the Dent County Jail, where he admitting to shooting at a vehicle on the same night.
Smith was later taken into custody and faces three counts of Felony 1st Degree Assault, one count of Felony Armed Criminal Action, Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and misdemeanors Unlawful Discharge of a firearm, and 2nd Degree Property Damage.
