On April the Operation Relentless Pursuit Task Force Officers began attempting to locate Kasey Chapman of West Plains. Chapman had an active arrest warrant out of Shannon County but is known to frequent both Howell and Shannon County. Over the course of a few weeks Task Force Officers received tips as to the whereabouts of Chapman but were unsuccessful in locating him. Information as to Chapman’s believed whereabouts was shared with the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday May 4th Shannon County Deputies responded to Chapman’s residence off of State Route 106, in an attempt to take him into custody. Chapman fled into a wooded area near the residence. Shannon County Deputies contacted Howell County Sheriff’s Office and requested the assistance of the Drone Unit and a K-9 Team.
Upon arrival, Deputy First Class Talon Millard deployed a drone and began the search for Chapman. DFC Millard was able to locate Chapman’s thermal signature in the wooded area. Deputy First Class Gordon and K-9 Flash arrived and began to track Chapman’s trail. After just a few minutes Chapman’s location was confirmed and contact was made with him.
On Monday May 5th at approximately 12:50 AM, Kasey J Chapman was taken into custody without further incident.
