West Plains, Mo. – Ozark Action, Inc. and The Salvation Army are looking for volunteers to Ring the Bells this holiday season.
The tradition of The Salvation Army ringing bells and gathering donations in the signature red kettles stretches back 130 years. In 1891, Salvation Army Captain Joseph McFee wanted to help feed the poor in San Francisco and that goal of helping your fellow man continues into the present.
Everyone is invited to be a bell ringer. Families, clubs, co-workers, sports teams, even groups of children accompanied by a parent or guardian can develop a sense of community spirit by participating in this activity. Contact Ozark Action, Inc. at 417-256-6147 to get signed up to ring.
