West Plains, MO. – Ozark Action Inc. will be hosting a Women’s Health Awareness event next month.
This event will include Ozark Action hosting Ozarks Healthcare’s Mobile Mammography Unit and the Howell County Health Department’s Mobile Clinic in the parking lot of Ozark Action, 710 East Main Street, West Plains.
Start time is 9am on April 7th. Patients who attend can sign up for a variety of health services, including mammograms, pap smears, pelvic exams, and more.
To be eligible for a screening mammogram from the Ozarks Healthcare Mobile Mammography Unit,
patients must: – Be female and 40 or older – Not had a mammogram in the past year – Not currently be pregnant or breastfeeding – Not have implants or breast issues, such as breast discharge, lumps, pain or discoloration – Have never been previously diagnosed with breast cancer
Appointments are heavily encouraged, as time for walk-ins will be limited.
