Press Release from Ozark Action:
The Community Foundation of the Ozarks recently presented Ozark Action with a $25,000 grant for our workforce services.
The grant, funded by the Coover Charitable Foundation and Trust, was one of 23 grants totaling $500,000 from the group’s Coover Regional Resiliency Grants, which were awarded to school districts and nonprofits that serve low-income individuals and families in rural communities who were financially impacted by the loss or significant reduction of federal and/or state funding. OAI’s grant will be used to provide job training cost assistance and supportive services to low income individuals in our 6-county region.
“This $25,000 grant is a vital investment in our service area, and will allows us to remove
financial barriers to job training so people can pursue meaningful careers and economic
independence,” said Terry Sanders, OAI Executive Director. “We appreciate our regional
partners who continue to recognize the important work OAI and other agencies conduct in the region that sometimes gets overlooked.”
