Ozarks Healthcare is inviting community members to attend a special Community Education Dinner on April 2, featuring a presentation by Dr. David Benalcazar focused on colon cancer prevention, screening, and treatment.
Benalcazar, a provider at Ozarks Healthcare General Surgery, will share important information about risk factors, the importance of regular screenings, and the latest advancements in care. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn how to take proactive steps toward better digestive health.
“Colon cancer is highly preventable with routine screenings, yet many individuals delay or avoid getting tested,” Terence Farrell, Ozarks Healthcare President and CEO, said. “Through events like this, we hope to raise awareness and empower our community with the knowledge they need to take charge of their health.”
The Community Education Dinner will take place on Thursday, April 2, at the Willard Hunter Classroom in Ozarks Healthcare’s Parkway Center located at 1211 Porter Wagoner Blvd., West Plains. Space is limited, and early registration is required. To reserve your spot, call 417-257-6735.
Ozarks Healthcare remains committed to promoting preventive care and increasing awareness around critical health issues like colon cancer, helping ensure individuals in the region have access to the resources they need to live healthier lives.
